Last year, Tesla was able to sell almost one and a half times more cars in the U.S. than in 2021. Only one other auto producer can boast of growth besides Tesla.

Here's What We Know

Sales of Tesla electric cars in 2022 compared to 2021 grew by 44%. General Motors is in second place with a huge lag from the leader. GM was only able to increase sales of electric cars by 3%.

But other manufacturers can't even boast of such growth. BMW and Hyundai-KIA sales are down 1%, Ford is down 2%, Subaru is down 5%, and Toyota is down 10%. Nissan with minus 25% and Honda with minus 33% were the worst performers in 2022.
