Pininfarina unveiled the Holon, an unmanned electric minibus based on the Mobileye Drive platform

Italian manufacturer Pininfarina has announced an electric minibus with driver assistance system. The vehicle is called Holon and was developed together with Benteler.

The minibus is built on the Mobileye Drive platform. It is equipped with LiDAR, radars and onboard cameras that provide Level 4 automatic piloting. In simple words, Holon can move independently on public roads, and in some situations driver's participation is envisaged.

The minibus is designed to carry up to 15 passengers. The company notes that the seats are shifted relative to each other, which should increase privacy. The vehicle is equipped with a ramp for people with disabilities. There is also a Braille display in the cabin. Stops are announced via a loudspeaker.

The Holon will be able to reach speeds of up to 60 km/h. It has a maximum range of 290 km. Pininfarina and Benteler plan to launch several test projects in the United States and Germany before beginning mass production in 2025.
