When Ukraine gets AMX 10-RC wheeled tanks

In early January, President Emmanuel Macron said that France would transfer AMX 10-RC wheeled tanks to Ukraine. It is now known when deliveries will start.

When We Can Expect It

According to French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu, the AFU will receive AMX 10-RC in two months. The minister told this to his Ukrainian colleague Oleksii Reznikov during the phone conversation. Most likely, during these months Ukrainian soldiers will undergo training.

Flashback

The AMX-10 RC is a French armored fighting vehicle manufactured by GIAT. The AMX-10 RC is armed with a 105mm tank gun, which is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 2 km. The tank also has a 6×6 wheel configuration and boasts a hydro-pneumatic suspension system with variable ground clearance and tilt. Thanks to this the fighting vehicle is able to hide in difficult terrain. By the way, AMX-10 RC is in service in France since 1981. The tank took part in operations in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and the Sahel. It is not yet known how many AMX-10 RCs Ukraine will receive.
