Poland handed over 8 thousand Starlinks, now there are about 30 thousand terminals in Ukraine - Ministry of Information
Ukraine received from Poland a batch of Starlink, which consists of 8,000 satellite Internet terminals. Soon another batch of 10 thousand terminals should be handed over by Germany.
Here's What We Know
"Recently we received a new batch from Poland - eight thousand terminals. A significant part of them we transfer to the "Points of Undamnosti". Hundreds of Stalinks are already working there, so Ukrainians can call, call an ambulance or work during blackouts", - said the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to him, just for 10 months of full-scale war the ministry managed to provide almost 30 thousand terminals Starlink for Ukraine from international donors and partners.
Thanks to Starlink hospitals, schools, energy and social services continue to work, and employees of the telecommunications sector quickly restore communications in the de-occupied territories. Military personnel also receive a significant portion of the terminals.
The Ministry of Digital continues negotiations with SpaceX and partners to ensure that Ukraine receives even more Starlink.
