Last summer it was reported that Britain would buy about two dozen Belgian M109 self-propelled howitzers for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Six months later, the artillery units were spotted at the front.
Here's What We Know
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have published pictures of the M109 howitzer in combat conditions for the first time. The Belgian version of the self-propelled artillery unit is called M109A4BE.
The media wrote in June that Britain was planning to buy 20 M109A4BEs from the private Belgian company FTS for Ukraine. However, in September there was information about 28 purchased self-propelled howitzers at a price of €15,000 per unit.
