Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, Patriot SAMs and IRIS-T: Germany announces new military aid package for the AFU worth over 1,000,000,000 euros

After the January 20 meeting of the contact group at the Ramstein base, Germany announced a new military aid package for Ukraine.

Unfortunately, Leopard 2 tanks are not included in the new package, but Germany will transfer an additional batch of Gepard anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine (7 units).

In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive another IRIS-T surface-to-air missile system and the Patriot surface-to-air missile system, which was mentioned earlier. Germany will also transfer an additional set of missiles to them and will engage in the training of the Ukrainian military. The total amount of the military aid package is more than 1,000,000,000 euros. Deliveries of weapons will begin in the spring.
