Morocco transferred 20 T-72B tanks to Ukraine; they were upgraded in the Czech Republic

The Kingdom of Morocco sent Soviet T-72B tanks to Ukraine.

The information was shared by the publication Menadefense. The tanks were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine last week. Before that they had been upgraded in the Czech Republic.

According to journalists, Morocco had promised to hand over its T-72Bs as early as during the Ramstein meeting in April 2022. Instead of Soviet/Russian tanks Morocco will receive American Abrams tanks.

By the way, the Kingdom of Morocco had in total 300 T-72 tanks of various modifications. They were bought in two batches in 1999 and 2000 from Belarus. Ukraine has allegedly received 20 units.
