CBC News: Canada plans to hand over four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukrainian Armed Forces

Following European countries, Canada is also planning to transfer German Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

The information was shared by CBC News, citing a high-ranking official. The final decision could be made as early as today, January 26. If the deliveries are approved, Canada may transfer four Leopard 2 tanks in A4 modification to the AFU.

Incidentally, the Canadian army is equipped with three modifications of German tanks: 2A4, 2A4M and 2A6M. The last variant is equipped with a 55 calibre cannon instead of the 44 calibre one. Canada has a total of about 90 Leopard 2 tanks. Incidentally, Canada bought Leopard 2A4s from the Netherlands during the Afghan war.
