Ukraine wants to buy 11 additional Zuzana 2 SAUs, one of which costs €7,000,000 and can fire up to 40km
At the beginning of January, Slovakia announced that it had handed over to Ukraine 8 Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery systems ordered in 2022. Now there is information that Ukraine wants to buy an additional batch of self-propelled artillery units.

This was announced by Slovak Defence Minister Jaro Nad at a briefing in Ukraine Media Center Odesa. It is a question of 11 units. The contract for arms supply should be signed in the nearest future.
By the way, Slovak Armaments plans to build 16 more units for the Ukrainian Armed Forces this year. Their production will be financed by Germany, Norway and Denmark.

Zuzana 2 is a Slovak self-propelled artillery unit, which is a modification of Dana SAU. It is built on a TATRA 8x8 wheeled chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a 155mm howitzer with 52 caliber barrel and maximum firing range of 41 km. The howitzer weighs 32 tons. The machine is equipped with an automatic charging system, which allows for 6 rounds per minute. Zuzana 2 is operated by a crew of four. By the way, the cost of such SAU is about €7 000 000.
