Hogwarts Legacy will have more than 100 side quests and won't care if you use unforgiven spells
In an interview with GamesRadar, Hogwarts Legacy director Moira Squier said that the game will feature more than 100 side quests that will not only provide players with additional items, but also influence the main story.
"The main storyline is complicated and engaging, and involves a variety of different characters and viewpoints, but by giving the player choice moments throughout the game, we allow them to tell their own version of that epic story, - Squier said"
Interacting with someone in a side quest will affect how you interact with them in the main storyline, and vice versa. The order in which a player chooses to complete these quests will affect their story and game play.
"This is the ultimate embodiment of role-playing: allowing the player to be evil. Additionally, this was important because it comes from a place of non-judgment by the game creators. If you want to be evil, be evil."
This will also apply to unforgivable spells (Imperio, Cruciatus, and Avada Kedavra), which you can use whenever you want. Of course, characters will react violently to this, but there will be no system of punishment for such actions.
Hogwarts Legacy will be released on 10 February on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, and on 4 April it will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned for the future.
