ChatGPT became the fastest-growing app in history, with 100 million users in January

ChatGPT is a new service that has managed the impossible. Its popularity is increasing at a faster rate than TikTok.

Here's What We Know

According to analytics company UBS, the total number of users reached 100 million in January. The chatbot, developed by OpenAI, did not become available until November 30, 2022. Within a month, the user base had grown to 57 million.

Analysts at UBS report that 13 million people were using chatbot services daily throughout January 2023. And we are talking about unique visitors. The popularity of ChatGPT compared with December has doubled.

In comparison, TikTok, despite its enormous popularity, attracted 100 million users only nine months after its global debut. Instagram took a full two and a half years after its launch to reach that level.
