Here's What We Know
The information was shared by some German media. If the deliveries are approved and Germany is able to resolve the ammunition issue, Rheinmetall and Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG) will prepare dozens of tanks for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Flashback
The Leopard 1 is Germany's main battle tank. It was developed jointly with France after World War II, but then cooperation was discontinued. The Leopard 1 is in service in 12 countries. Thanks to a modernization program it is still in use. By the way, about 4,744 Leopard 1s were produced by 1984. The tank took part in the Bosnian War and in the War in Afghanistan.
