Google has dramatically increased market share in the US, Australia, Japan and Europe with the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones

Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said last week that the 2022 smartphones were the best-selling in Google's history. They have helped the company significantly increase sales in different regions.

Google's Android smartphone market share in Europe rose from 3.6% to 6.8% in Q4 2022 compared to Q4 2021, according to analyst agency Kantar. In the US, the Pixel's share was 11.9% in the reporting period compared to 7.5% in the baseline.

Residents of the UK, Japan and Australia are most likely to buy Google smartphones as a percentage of other companies' Android models. For example, over the year, the Pixel's share in Australia rose from 5.8% to 14.8% and in Japan from 7.4% to 14.3%. In the UK, Google controlled 18% of the Android smartphone market.
