Windows 11 will add control of devices with RGB backlighting
Microsoft is working on integrating support for RGB accessories for PC gaming into Windows 11. Windows Lighting will include the ability for PC gamers to customise RGB lighting accessories without installing third-party software.
Here's What We Know
The information was reported by Twitter user Albacore. He noticed an early version of the RGB customisation feature in one of the recent early builds of Windows 11:
So gamers will be able to adjust the brightness, lighting effects, speed, and colours in the Windiws 11 standard settings interface. There is also a feature that will match the backlight colour to the main Windows colours.
Microsoft's own lighting controls will mean that Windows 11 users won't have to install apps from Razer, Corsair, Logitech, and others to get basic support for customising RGB effects, which will be a very convenient option. The company itself has not yet spoken about such features, so we will wait for news.
