Electronic Arts (EA) will renew its agreement with the English Premier League and continue to sponsor the world's top football league.

Here's What We Know

Twenty English Premier League clubs have been notified that a new six-year agreement will soon be signed with EA. The value of the contract will be £488m, roughly double the current agreement.

It was reported by Sky News. According to the British media, the head of one of the clubs said that the new deal will bring more than £80m a year, and the American company will remain a leading partner and be able to retain an exclusive licence for video games.

The English Premier League has been working with EA since 1998, with the company becoming the lead partner in 2016. However, EA is splitting its partnership with FIFA and the game series of the same name will be renamed.

Sky News asked EA representatives to comment on the new agreement, but have yet to receive a response. At the same time, Premier League management have rejected the request.
