Dreamwork, the maker of the popular modular laptop with the same name, has released a 2TB drive for another portable computer - Valve's Steam Deck.

Here's What We Know

Although it is quite easy to replace a drive in a portable console, it is much more difficult to buy the necessary spare part. The thing is that Steam Deck uses the smallest M2 SSD, 2230, which is only 30 mm long and is designed for single-sided storage with flash memory chips on one side.

Another nuance is that M2 2230 drives are considered OEM products, meaning that they are not sold to the average user, and their replacement is carried out by a service. And this is where Streamwork comes in, not only with the required drive format, but also with a large storage capacity of 2TB.

It is not yet clear how suitable this drive is for Steam Deck, but if you read the Steam Deck subreddit, you will mostly come across positive reviews. SN740 SSD costs $299, which is actually not a bad price for this amount of memory in a specific shell.
