Sources of insider Tom Henderson inform that the sequel to Metro Exodus, which is being developed by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games, is actively being developed and the game can already be played from start to finish.

Here's What We Know

The game is expected to be announced this year and released in 2024. In 2020, 4A Games announced that it started working on the next game in the Metro series. The game is being created for 9th generation consoles and PC, with a new version of their game engine and rendering to take advantage of the new power and hardware support for ray tracing provided by the new consoles. The developers also reported that the team is committed to creating a great story-driven single-player experience and hopes that players will be excited about the next instalment.

There are few details about the new game, but it is reported that the game will start with a dream in which you wake up at your operational base. The gameplay will follow the classic Metro formula: stealth, resource creation, shooting, exploring locations, collecting resources, and more.
