Meizu 20 will become the company's first smartphone with an IR port

Meizu has recently launched an advertising campaign for its new flagships in the Meizu 20 range, which is expected to include the Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro models. A new promotional poster released by Meizu reveals another feature of the smartphones.

So, the image shows that the Meizu 20 flagships will be equipped with IR ports. As a result, the smartphone could be used as a remote control for various electronic devices such as TVs, air conditioners and set-top boxes. Incidentally, this technology is often used in its smartphones by Xiaomi, but other companies have abandoned it over time.

Details about the Meizu 20 are still scarce. It is known that the new items will receive a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

The launch date is unknown, but it is expected in mid-March.
