One UI 5.1 disrupts Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 - smartphones heat up badly and discharge quickly
We wrote about the problems with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro the day before. Now it's time to talk about the problems with the update for Samsung's 2021 and 2022 flagships.
Here's What We Know
Samsung is known to be actively rolling out the new One UI 5.1 software. By mid-March, the manufacturer wants to release the update on around 20 smartphones and half a dozen tablets. But for at least six models, the update has proved problematic.
This is reported by owners of the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series flagships. They note that after installing One UI 5.1, the smartphones begin to heat up heavily and quickly lose battery power. One user claims a spike in power consumption from the Samsung Keyboard.
As happens in such cases, the company will soon release a "normal" version of One UI 5.1, which will fix all the problems. By the way, Samsung support advises clearing the cache and rebooting the smartphone to fix the problem of high power consumption from the Samsung Keyboard.
