Xiaomi has released the MIUI 14 firmware for the two 2021 tablets.

Here's What We Know

We're talking about the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro models. Both tablets were announced in August 2021. They received MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box and eventually upgraded to MIUI 13 on Android 12.

The new firmware version is numbered v14.0.4.0 TKXCNXM. The update is only rolling out in China for now. The stable MIUI 14 became available for the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro two months after the company released a beta version for the tablets. The shell is based on the Android 13 operating system.

Global MIUI 14 for the Xiaomi Pad 5 will become available in the coming weeks. The Snapdragon 870-powered Pro version with cellular support, on the other hand, is not on sale outside of China.

For the record, officially the firmware for Xiaomi tablets is called MIUI for Pad starting from 2021. However, it is a copy of MIUI for smartphones with full-screen mode.
