Tesla stops distribution of Full Self-Driving due to dangerous autopilot behaviour
A week and a half ago Tesla was forced to recall more than 360,000 electric cars due to problems with its Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistance system. Now it has been revealed that Elon Musk's company is discontinuing FSD distribution.
Here's What We Know
US regulators have discovered a number of bugs in the latest version of FSD. At their request, Tesla has cancelled distribution of the new version of the driver assistance system. Note that FSD is in beta stage and is only available to owners of Tesla electric cars in North America who have volunteered to take part in the testing.
The problematic version of FSD could pose road hazards. Regulators note that cars can ignore directional signs at intersections, cross stop-lines and continue driving despite a long lit yellow traffic light.
