Are Microsoft and Intel hinting at Windows 12?
Is Microsoft already planning Windows 12? This question arises after the recent leak of information about Intel's Meteor Lake desktop platform, shared by a whistleblower @leaf_boy.
Here's What We Know
Recently, the whistleblower posted a tweet about Intel's next desktop platform, Meteor Lake, in which the specifications indicated that processors built on the platform would support Windows 12. Shortly after the tweet was published, it was deleted. Even so, another source also indicated that Meteor Lake is expected to support 20 PCIe Gen5 lanes and Windows 12. Journalists from The Verge asked Intel for comment, but the company refused to provide it.
Although Microsoft hasn't said anything about Windows 12 yet, there are already signs that the next version will be coming and will feature close integration of artificial intelligence, which the company is now trying to use to the maximum.
