Metroid Fusion will be available on Nintendo Switch Online on 8 March
Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games are already part of the Switch Online subscription, so Nintendo is starting to add some classic titles to the Switch Online subscription - this week, Metroid Fusion will be added to the subscription. The game will be available starting from 8 March.
Here's What We Know
Metroid Fusion was released on the Game Boy Advance in 2002 and is a side-scrolling adventure. Here's a brief description of the game:
In Metroid Fusion, while exploring the mysterious planet SR388, interstellar bounty hunter Samus Aran is attacked by an X-parasite. This organism is not only deadly, but can also mimic the abilities of any creature it infects - including Samus herself! Saved from the brink thanks to a dash of DNA from Metroid, Parasite X's only natural predator, she soon discovers that the parasite has spread to the research station orbiting SR388. A weakened Samus must do everything she can to destroy the X menace before it's too late.
The addition is also notable because it means that 1) all 2D Metroid games are now available via Switch Online and 2) those who got into the series through Metroid Dread can finally play its predecessor on the same device.
