Tesla earlier this year cut the price of all electric cars, including the Model Y and Model 3, which provide the bulk of Elon Musk's revenue. A few months later, the more expensive cars dropped in price again.

Here's What We Know

The two-motor Model S with all-wheel drive is now priced at $89,990. The price of the Plaid variant has been reduced to $109,990. And regardless of the variant, buyers will get the car this month. Previously, each configuration cost $5,000 more.

The electric crossover Model X has fallen in price at once by $10,000. The base version now costs $99,990, but deliveries may be delayed until May this year. Although there is a chance to get the car in March as well. The Plaid configuration costs $109,990. Deliveries may be delayed until April.

Thus, the Model S has fallen in price by $15,000 and the Model X by $21,000 since January 1, 2023. Buyers won't be able to claim a $7,500 tax deduction as each electric car costs more than $55,000.
