Huawei and SERES unveil first smart car in 2023

At the end of February, Huawei and SERES expanded their collaboration and announced that they had begun work on the first flagship-level smart car. It will appear before the end of this year.

The vehicle will be built on a novel platform and will have an intelligent driving system. Huawei and SERES plan to expand the model range in 2024, and by 2026, the companies want to increase sales of electric vehicles to 1 million units.

SERES was the first car company to partner with Huawei. The collaboration began in 2021. Since then, Huawei has been providing electric cars with intelligent driving systems.

SERES founded the AITO Wenjie brand, under which three vehicle models were launched: M5, M5 EV and M7. In 2022, deliveries of electric vehicles exceeded 75,000 units, making AITO Wenji the fastest growing brand on the market.
