The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received complaints from owners of Tesla Model Y electric cars. Elon Musk's company will probably have to recall many vehicles.

Here's What We Know

NHTSA has received complaints from two Model Y owners. One Model Y buyer encountered a problem five days after purchasing the electric car. Moreover, the steering wheel fell off right on the move while he was driving on the highway.

According to the car owner, he was able to stop the electric car and no one was injured as a result of the incident. The dealer apologised and replaced the car with a new one.

The reason for the malfunction is a lack of fasteners. Recall of electric cars has not yet been officially announced, however, it is possible that Tesla will have to recall 120 000 units of Model Y 2023.
