Study: Apple gadgets only appeal to younger users, people over 45 have little interest in them
CIRP, which specialises in market research, has decided to find out what age people are most interested in Apple products.
Here's What We Know
As it turns out, interest in Apple gadgets is directly related to age: the older it is, the less interest it gets. The majority of iPhone users are aged 18-44, making up nearly three-quarters of all smartphone owners. Thus, 22% of users are 18 to 24 years old, 27% are 25 to 34 years old and 23% are 35 to 44 years old.
Only 10% of users are between 45 and 54 years old, another 10% are between 65 years old. In addition, only 8% are between the ages of 55 and 65.
The figures are similar among iPad and Mac users. Although, in the case of Mac, the situation is more critical, despite the fact that it is primarily a computer designed for work. At the same time, there are no games on a Mac, which may also influence age preferences.
