Nintendo is confident in Switch's performance and has no plans to update the console yet
Doug Bowser, the president of Nintendo of America, recently gave an interview to the Associated Press, where, answering the question about the potential successor to the Nintendo Switch, he said that the company still "feels optimistic" about the current generation of the Switch and suggested that it will not be abandoned in the near future.
Here's What We Know
Bowser stated that the console lineup is still "very, very strong" and that Nintendo is confident that the Switch will be able to maintain good performance for the next few years. He clarified that this is partly due to its unique hybrid design, which allows players to play in different ways. Discussing what new features the upcoming Nintendo console will have, he simply said: "one of the things we're always looking at is how we can surprise and delight, how we can introduce new and unique ways to play."
So, if you own a Nintendo Switch, you don't have to worry because your console won't be outdated for at least a few more years.
