The Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully used Ukrainian-made kamikaze drones. In particular, the RAM II.

Here's What We Know

The hovering munitions were able to successfully engage Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile systems. A video of the use of kamikaze drones was published by volunteer Serhiy Pritula, who was raising money to buy RAM II in the autumn of 2022.

The price of one bomber ammunition is several tens of thousands of dollars. A video shows how they were used to defeat two anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian army. The cost of one Tor-M2 is $25 million.

RAM II is a kamikaze drone developed on the basis of the Leleka-100 reconnaissance drone. The hovering munition can fly for 55 minutes, has a range of up to 30km and can carry a 3kg payload.

The RAM II can drop anti-tank, thermobaric and high-explosive projectiles on enemy positions. An FHD camera with 10x optical zoom is installed on board for target identification.
