Huawei P60 flagships support contactless payment for purchases even if the smartphone is completely discharged
Huawei this week unveiled its new flagship smartphones in the Huawei P60 range. Now the manufacturer has revealed one interesting detail about the devices.
Here's What We Know
As it turns out, the smartphones give you the ability to pay for purchases contactless, even if your phone is completely discharged and turned off. This is achieved through the phone's security module, NFC connectivity, power status detection and smart interaction technologies.
Huawei has also taken care of security: users can set the number of payments without power and allow payments of small amounts without a password. You can also simply choose not to enable small payments without a password: in this case, you will have to enter a code on the terminal every time to confirm the payment.
If your smartphone is lost or stolen, the owner can log in to the RMB digital app on another phone and disable the network and powerless payment function, thus securing their accounts.
For now, this payment feature only works on the Huawei P60, Huawei P60 Pro and Huawei P60 Art, but will be available on other models in the future. Whether it will work in the global market is unclear. For now, the smartphones are only sold in China and their international launch is not expected until May 9.
