British tanks on the way: Ukrainian military trained in the UK on Challenger 2
Two months after the start of the programme, the Ukrainian military has completed training on Challenger 2 tanks in the UK.

The Guardian has shared the information. According to the source, the Ukrainian crews have already started to return to Ukraine. As for the tanks, their deliveries will start in the next few days. Earlier, the UK Ministry of Defence said that it would hand over the tanks at the end of March. By the way, the UK will hand over 14 Challenger 2 tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the first stage. Later Ukraine should receive another 14 combat vehicles.

The Challenger 2 is the main battle tank of the UK Ground Forces. It was developed in the 1990s by BAE Systems. The tank was withdrawn from production in 2009. The Challenger 2 was involved in combat operations in Kosovo and Iraq. As of 2022, the UK has 227 Challenger 2 tanks in service. Oman Armed Forces also use 38 tanks.
