Microsoft announces blue and red versions of Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers

Microsoft has introduced two new colours for the Elite Series 2 controller series - bright red and blue. As with the white model released last year, the full name of the controllers is "Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 - Core".

The controllers are similar to the original Elite Series 2, but they come with fewer accessories, so they cost less. You can buy the bundle separately for $59.99 if you need those accessories, which, by the way, include a carrying case and charging dock.

Both versions support Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and mobile devices. The battery life is promised at 40 hours of continuous play. The Xbox Accessories App will allow you to customise various settings, such as the colour of the Xbox logo backlight.

The bright red and blue versions of the controller are now available for pre-order for $139.99, and their official launch will take place on 11 April.
