Drones, spacecraft and cameras - Japan imposes new restrictions on exports to Russia
The Japanese authorities have expanded the list of goods whose export to Russia is prohibited. The restrictions will take effect one week from now, on 7 April 2023.
Here's What We Know
In early 2023, the Land of the Rising Sun banned the export of robots, medical equipment, vaccines and semiconductor products to Russia. A few months later, Japanese authorities added more items to the list.
Japan has now restricted the supply of optical, photographic, measuring, control and precision equipment, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles and spacecraft, along with their parts. In addition, the Japanese authorities have banned exports to Russia of steel (and products), aluminium (and products), boilers, machinery, electrical equipment, parts of transport vehicles and toys.
