The Ukrainian Air Force has started using US high-precision JDAM-ER aerial bombs.

Here's What We Know

This was reported by Yuriy Ignat, spokesman of the Air Force Command of Ukraine, during a telethon. It is not known how many of these munitions the AFU received. By the way, back in early March James Hecker, commander of the US Air Force in Europe and Africa, said that the United States had transferred such GPS-guided bombs to Ukraine.

Flashback

JDAM-ER (Joint Direct Attack Munition - Extended Range) is a high-precision aerial bomb with an extended range up to 72.5 kilometres. The US developed it in conjunction with the Royal Australian Air Force. The smart bomb is carried by US fighters and drones. The AFU is likely to have found a way to use them with Soviet fighters.
