Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy another Russian upgraded T-90M Breakthrough tank worth from $2m

The Russian army has recently lost another upgraded T-90M Proryv (Breakthrough) tank. The fighting vehicle was destroyed by soldiers of the 66th separate mechanised brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are closing in on two dozen destroyed T-90M Proryv tanks. It is possible that the Ukrainian army has hit more fighting vehicles, but the Oryx project writes of 15 destroyed and two captured tanks, based on video and photo confirmation.

The T-90M Proryv is the most advanced Russian tank officially adopted for service. It costs between $2 million and $5 million, depending on the level of modernization.

Recently, the Center for Research of Trophy and Advanced Armament and Military Equipment dismantled and studied the captured combat vehicle. As it turned out, the tank adopted for service in 2020 is equipped with foreign electronics and does not differ much from the older T-72B.
