Samsung's 2019 flagships will no longer receive One UI and Android updates
Samsung has decided to end the lifecycle of three of its 2019 flagship smartphones at once. But one model will continue to receive updates.
Here's What We Know
The Samsung Galaxy S10 family was unveiled in 2019. It included the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10e models. All four smartphones received Android 9.0 Pie operating system and Snapdragon 855 / Exynos 9820 processor depending on the region.
Four years after its premiere, the flagships received the Android 12 operating system and the proprietary One UI 4.1 shell. Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+ will no longer receive software updates.
For unknown reasons, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G lifecycle has not yet come to an end. The smartphone will continue to receive updates. The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. But this model stands apart. It was introduced separately almost a year after the quartet of flagships and even got One UI 5.1 on Android 13.
