Intel halts production of some of its Tiger Lake desktop and mobile processors

Intel has decided to shorten its Tiger Lake range of processors. "The blue giant” is discontinuing production of some of its 11th generation desktop and mobile chips.

Here's What We Know

Five laptop models have suffered: the Core i5-11260H, Core i5-11400H, Core i7-11800H, Core i9-11900H, Core i7-11600H. They are joined by a quartet of desktop chips: Core i9-11900KB, Core i7-11700B, Core i5-11500B, Core i3-11100B.

Intel will be accepting applications for the processors until June 30, 2023. Shipments will continue until the end of January 2024. Until February 2024, the American company plans to retire Rocket Lake chips, which also represent the 11th generation.
