Last week we wrote that Spain would send the first batch of Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine after Easter. According to Reuters, deliveries have been delayed.

Here's What We Know

Spanish publication El Pais wrote in late March that the Spanish Defence Ministry would send four tanks to Ukraine after 9 April. A little later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive four more combat vehicles.

According to Reuters, deliveries of the Leopard 2A4s have been delayed due to the need for additional tests. The tanks have been mothballed since the 1990s. In this regard, they will be re-equipped and subjected to combat readiness tests before being shipped to Ukraine.
