Hackers attack MSI, steal 1.5TB of data and demand $4m
The hacker group Money Message has reported a cyber attack on the Taiwanese giant (Micro-Star International). The company has confirmed the attack on some of its systems.

MSI issued an official press release on the subject a day after the hackers claimed the cyber attack. The company claims that the information department was able to activate protection mechanisms and undertake recovery measures. The systems that were hit by the cyberattack are already operating normally.
The Taiwanese giant asks users to download BIOS updates and firmware updates exclusively through the official website. At the same time, MSI does not say whether any files have been stolen.
For its part, hacker group Money Message has claimed the theft of 1.5TB of data. It is demanding a ransom of $4 million.
