A Hungarian man was able to sell a Tesla Model X electric car one day after retrieving it from the bottom of the Danube River. As the story goes, the car slipped into the river on a ferry pier.
Here's What We Know
The electric car slipped off the boat ramp. The driver probably forgot about the brake. The Tesla Model X went completely under water before the fire service arrived on the scene. So they had to call in a team of rescue divers to help.
Even though the Tesla Model X spent some time at the bottom of the longest river in the EU, the driver was able to sell the car the next day for $24,000. Why anyone would want to buy a drowned car is hard to say. Probably, the new owner considered that the saving was worth it.
