In November 2022, information appeared on the internet that the Armed Forces had received Roketsan MCL multiple rocket launchers from Turkey. This has now been officially confirmed by the Ukrainian military.

Here's What We Know

Photos of the complex and the transport-loading vehicle were published by the 49th Artillery Brigade on its Facebook page.

The Roketsan MCL (multi-calibre launcher) uses 230mm TRLG-230 missiles. They are capable of hitting targets at ranges of 20 to 70 km. At the end of the trajectory, the missile uses semi-active homing to lock on to the target based on the radiation reflected from it. A Bayraktar TB2 UAV or ground-based laser designator can be used to illuminate the target.

Unfortunately, it is not known how many of these MLRSs Ukraine has received.
