Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2 game director is working on something "new and original" at Respawn Entertainment

In an interview with Axios, Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella said that the "skunkworks" team developing a new original game is headed by Steve Fukuda, the game director of Titanfall and Titanfall 2.

In his last interview, Zampella said that he would like to see a Titanfall 3 release, but there are no specific plans for this project at the moment.

"It has to be done right. It's a franchise that the fans and we love," he told Barron's. "If we don't find the right moment, the right idea, it will be pointless."

"Apex is the Titanfall universe, right? So how do you create something that doesn't upset people who are Apex fans but aren't Titanfall fans yet? It's a hard question to answer, but ultimately I'd like to see something like that."
