Xiaomi's low-cost 2020 smartphone starts getting stable MIUI 14 firmware with April security update
As promised, Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 14 firmware for the low-cost 2020 models. The update has been released for the POCO M2 Pro model.
Here's What We Know
The update is numbered v14.0.3.0 SJPINXM. The letter designation of the firmware tells us that it is being sent out in India and is based on the Android 12 operating system. The update brings the Android security patch for April 2023.
The release of MIUI 14 for the POCO M2 Pro means that the firmware will soon be available for the global version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both smartphones feature a Snapdragon 720G mobile processor and a 6.67" Full HD+ IPS LCD display.
The key difference between the models is that the Redmi Note 9 Pro is equipped with a 64 MP primary camera, while the POCO M2 Pro gets a 48 MP module. Also, the Redmi brand smartphone has NFC. Both devices are available on sale with MIUI 11 on Android 11.
