Ryanair orders 300 Boeing 737 MAX 10 worth $40bn
Irish carrier Ryanair has decided to buy three hundred 737 MAX 10s from Boeing. Some of them will become replacements for aging planes.
Here's What We Know
Ryanair has committed $40 billion to buy 300 Boeing 737 MAX 10s. The deal could have been signed earlier, but a year and a half ago the companies broke off talks because they could not find common ground on cost.
In March this year, Ryanair agreed to pay the agreed price for the liners. The new agreement will increase the number of MAX aircraft to 360. The 737 MAX 10 can carry up to 228 passengers, a 21 percent increase over the Boeing 737-800.
Deliveries of the aircraft will begin in 2027 and continue until 2033. About half of the airliners will be replacements for older Boeing 737-800s. The rest will expand Ryanair's fleet.
