The Czech Republic continues to help Ukraine and is now preparing a new military aid package for the Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

President Petr Pavel told about this in an interview with the publication írozhlas. It is about the transfer to Ukraine of two batteries of anti-aircraft missile systems 2K12 "Kub". The Czech Republic will also send a large number of missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukraine will be able to quickly integrate the systems into its air defence. Incidentally, apart from the Czech Republic, Slovakia was also planning to transfer 2K12 "Kub" SAM systems to Ukraine. Perhaps the systems are already in the possession of the AFU.

Flashback

The 2K12 "Kub" is a Soviet anti-aircraft missile system. It was produced from 1958 to 1965. A total of about 600 SAMs were produced. The 2K12 "Kub" is mainly designed to protect tank divisions. The system is capable of engaging targets at ranges up to 20 km.
