Defence Ministry to order upgraded BM Oplot tanks for Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov did not just look at BM Oplot tanks during a trip to Kharkiv Region. The Defence Minister made an important statement.

The director of the State Concern Ukroboronprom, Yuriy Husev, and the head of the Supreme Council Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, Oleksandr Zavytnevych, visited the training ground together with the Defence Minister.
According to Oleksii Reznikov, a Ukrainian tank must be at the forefront of the tank coalition. That is why the Ukrainian Defence Ministry decided to order BM Oplot tanks from the Ukroboronprom company for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
A publication to this effect appeared on the Defence Ministry's official website on May 12, 2023. Details of the possible deal are not specified.
At the moment, the Royal Thai Army is the only operator of Oplot tanks. It ordered 49 combat vehicles 12 years ago, which were delivered between 2014 and 2018.
