La Stampa: France and Italy hand over SAMP/T surface-to-air missile system to Ukraine

According to La Stampa, this time the Ukrainian Armed Forces received the SAMP/T surface-to-air missile system. France and Italy have promised to transfer it to Ukraine. By the way, the Ukrainian armed forces were also to receive 700 Aster-30 surface-to-air missiles and two Ground Master 200 radars with a range of up to 250 km.

SAMP/T is an anti-aircraft missile system for surface-to-air missiles. It was developed by the European consortium Eurosam (a joint venture of MBDA Italy, MBDA France and Thales). The system is designed to provide anti-aircraft protection for mechanized units as well as anti-aircraft protection of important targets from massive attacks. The SAM is capable of destroying air targets at altitudes up to 25 km and distances up to 100 km.
