Ukraine wants 40-50 US F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters from allies
Ukraine continues negotiations with partners on deliveries of Western fighter jets. Now some details have emerged on the internet.

Yuriy Sak, adviser to the Ukrainian Defence Minister, told Politico that the Ukrainian Armed Forces want to receive 40-50 US F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters and to form three or four squadrons.
With the help of Western aircraft and modern air defence systems, Ukraine will be able to completely close the sky from Russian missiles and UAVs. By the way, no decision has been made yet on fighter jet deliveries, but some partners are already preparing to launch a training programme for Ukrainian pilots.

Thanks to its versatility and low cost, the F-16 is a success on the international market. It is in service in 24 countries. The F-16 is the most mass-produced fighter of the fourth generation. As of 2009, more than 4,400 machines were built, and more than 2,500 were in service in 2016.
