The past year has been a challenging one for big tech, to say the least, and while NVIDIA has proven to be one of the best performing companies with its AI products and solutions, it has been exposed to broader economic influences and has not met its sales target. This means that the company's CEO, Jensen Huang, will not receive the maximum payout - according to The Register, he will receive $21.35 million for his work, or approximately $400,000 per day.

In fact, most of Huang's compensation comes in the form of stock awards, worth nearly $19.7 million. His base salary is just under $1 million, with another $693,000 in "other compensation", which is likely to consist of things like travel and health insurance.

That's down about 10% from last year. At a time when explosive interest in enterprise products and the crypto mining boom had filled Nvidia's coffers, a natural retreat could be expected now that interest has waned.
