Rheinmetall plans to build Fuchs armoured vehicles in Ukraine
German concern Rheinmetall, together with UkrOboronProm, plans to produce armoured vehicles in Ukraine.

Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger told German edition Bild. The matter concerns Fuchs armored personnel carriers. It is not yet known when the production of the Fuchs will start.
During the first stages, the company will try to provide Ukraine with the most essentials. To this end, UkrOboronProm and Rheinmetall recently set up a joint venture. Incidentally, according to Papperger, Ukraine is also interested in the production of the Panther KF51 modern tanks and Lynx infantry fighting vehicles.
Flashback
The Fuchs is a German wheeled amphibious armoured personnel carrier. It was adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1979. The Fuchs was originally developed by Daimler-Benz, but later the production was transferred to Rheinmetall. Armored Personnel Carrier has different modifications and is in service in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
